Hi, I’m back again with my third blog post!
This month has flown by, and I can hardly believe how quickly time is passing. But let’s be honest—some school days definitely feel like they last forever!
A Day at the Farm: Exploring Ecosystems
Last week, we went on a biology trip to a farm, and it was an absolute blast! We visited a place called Airfield, not too far from my school, where we spent the entire day studying ecosystems. At first, I was a bit disappointed when I found out we were focusing on insects rather than the animals on the farm. However, once we finished our “study of an ecosystem,” we had the freedom to explore the farm as much as we wanted. The farm was beautiful, and my friends and I really enjoyed our day there!
Dublin City Centre: Shopping and Tasty Treats
Since my last blog post, I’ve made a few more trips to the city centre. The shopping in Dublin is far better than in Norway, so I may have spent a bit more money than I should have... Sorry, mom and dad! Dublin has a lot of great second-hand shops, which I think is really cool.
And I can’t talk about the city centre without mentioning the food! I tried Five Guys for the first time, and their milkshake is amazing! I also visited a place called Bubble Waffle Factory with some friends. It’s a small, adorable shop in the Temple Bar area, and if you’ve never heard of bubble waffles before, this picture says it all—they taste just as good as they look!
Staying Active: Yoga, Dance, and Gym Sessions
I’ve been going to quite a few yoga classes since I arrived, and I find them both relaxing and fun. One of my friends from school recently joined the gym, so we enjoy working out together after school or attending yoga classes in the evenings.
I’m still loving my dance classes at a place called Miss Ali Stage School. The dance instructor is fantastic, and the atmosphere in the studio is amazing. Not only is it fun learning to dance, but it’s also a great workout! Check out the beautiful view I had during a recent workout at the gym—it makes exercising even more enjoyable.
Mid-Term Break and Halloween Excitement
Our mid-term break is coming up next week, and I’m so excited! I’ll be heading to Liverpool to meet my family for the first half of the break, and I can’t wait to see them again. I’ll return to Ireland on the 30th of October, just in time for Halloween!
Halloween is a big deal here, and people have been talking about it for a month. I’m really excited to decorate the house, dress up, and even go to Halloween parties! We’re allowed to dress up at school on the last Friday before the mid-term break, so I’ve already started working on my costume—I want it to be a good one.
The nature here in Ireland is so beautiful, and I just had to share this picture I took during a walk in a park near where I live. The sky is absolutely stunning!
Thank you for reading!
