Practical Assistance

Assistance with Homestays

Most students will need additional accommodation with a host family at some point during their stay. We coordinate the placement of students into nearby host families who are thoroughly inspected and vetted to ensure safety and comfort.

Assistance with Transfers

We provide young-flyer drop-off and collection services through our own staff or trusted partner taxi firms, using only vetted and verified drivers for added security.

Problem Solving & Emergency Care

Access to HSI Head Office

Our dedicated office teams are available during office hours to assist students, parents, and partners. We handle inquiries efficiently, providing accurate information when you need it.

24/7 Emergency Telephone Service

Every student has access to our 24/7 emergency telephone service, ensuring help is always just a call away.

Emergency Visits

In genuine emergencies, our Local Guardian will personally visit the student to provide immediate support.

Incident Reports

We provide detailed incident reports to parents following every face-to-face meeting. These reports are additional to any produced by schools or other parties.

Academic, Welfare and Social Monitoring

Orientation Visit

Shortly after arrival, students meet their Local Guardian who provides essential information and helps them adjust to their new environment.

Regular Guardian Visits

Students benefit from meeting their Local Guardian at least once a month in Ireland. These private, one-to-one meetings ensure continuous support and monitoring.

Progress & Well-Being Reporting

After each meeting, our Local Guardians write detailed reports on the student's progress and address any issues or concerns.

Attendance at Parent-Teacher Evenings

Our trained Local Guardians attend parent-teacher evenings, sharing feedback with HSI head office, parents, and partner agencies to keep everyone informed.

Hear from some of our students:
Compared to other agencies the local advisor sees you in person in school to check on you. This creates an environment to talk about problems!
